MBCA Insurance was formed by 3 executives from the private equity industry who were frustrated with a lack of attention given to their portfolio companies by insurance brokers. The brokers, who had initially sold them on the concept of dedicated risk management resources, didn’t deliver on their promises to truly understand each business and its evolving needs. Time and again, their companies were left vulnerable to improper coverage, sometimes resulting in significant losses. 

 

Out of their frustration, MBCA Insurance was born: a risk management firm not incentivized by selling more coverage, but instead focused on understanding the specialized needs and nuances of a small set of companies. MBCA’s dedicated risk managers ensure that every company in a private equity firm’s portfolio stays protected as investments are added and exited and as the needs of each business change over time.
